Thursday May 19th – The Hugely Huggable History of the Teddy Bear. Gill White from Chipping Camden is the speaker this month. An entertaining and enjoyable evening that will leave us all feeling very differently about our old saggy teddies!!

Update on the Jumble Sale - The Rummage sale was a pretty frantic couple of hours during which we raised an incredible £200. An inspired suggestion that we put a couple of tables outside the hall meant that the 'crowds' of customers could part with their money in the sunshine while we set up the clothes inside the hall! A great team effort and thanks to all.

Update on The County Quiz The quiz started on time and we had 4 teams in total. The evening was very enjoyable and we had lots of fun inventing new words. One of our teams came in the top three and has been selected to go on to the next stage. Well done ladies.

Thursday 28th AprilSpecial Occasions Make-upIf you have a wedding or a party to go to, this months speaker will be giving a talk on how to apply your make-up for that special occasion. There will also be a demonstration.

Saturday April 9th – Jumble Sale -

This event went really well with bric a brac stalls outside in the lovely weather and clothing stalls inside the hall, with tea, coffee and cakes. The people were queuing at the doors before we opened and the "buy a carrier bag and fill it up" was brilliant,no need to worry about the price of an item. We raised a total of £200. A very big thank you to Jennie for storing and sorting the items and to everyone who donated items and helped on the day.

Other Events

Wednesday 30th March – The County Quiz –

Our four teams arrived promptly on the night full of enthusiasm. The questions seemed to get harder as the night went on but we all persevered and lasted to the end. Some of our answers were very creative (may be not right but it was fun to invent new words). However one of our teams came in the top three and they are going on to the semi-finals - Well done ladies.
