January 16^th - Mark Cummings from Gloucester Radio will be giving us a talk about his life as a presenter. 

January 2014 will be our 10th anniversary so we will attempt to have a cake competition. Please bring a cake made at home and we will give a prize for presentation and taste. Then we can enjoy them to celebrate our 10 years together.

This months speaker is  Pru Leith CBE  a restaurateur, caterer, TV cook, broadcaster and cookery writer talking about her latest book " My Life on a plate". This is a ticket only event limited to 70 people. Please register your interest in this event as soon as possible. There is no fee for New Stratton WI members. Guests charge is £3.50.

Please remember to bring your tickets on the night as they will be entered into a raffle to win one of Pru Leith's books.

New Stratton WI Meeting for June 2013

Thursday June 20th at 7:30pm

The guest speaker for June will be giving a lively and entertaining travel talk on Costa Rica. Costa Rica, officially the Republic of Costa Rica, is a country in Central America, bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the Caribbean Sea to the east and has its fair share of volcano’s and national parks.

 

Saturday June 22nd - Jumble Sale in the Stratton Village Hall from 11:00am to 12:00pm in aid of the New Minor Injuries Unit in Cirencester Hospital.

This months guest speaker is Jim Billings. Jim has visited our WI on several occasions and always has made the evening very entertaining with his talks about gardening. Jim also brings along a selection of plants for sale which has proved to be very popular in the past.
