April Newsletter



Thursday 22nd April – First Choice Holidays. A representative from the company will be coming to advise on what holidays are available and the best places to go.


Thursday 20th May – Line Dancing – by special request. Everyone had such a good time at the xmas party we have asked them back.


Other Events

Thursday 22nd April - Fund raising book sale - Please bring along any books or magazines that you no longer want. All books left over will be given to charity unless you want to take them back.

Thursday 27th May – An Evening Walk along the Cotswold CanalFrom the Spine road to Latton stopping for a meal at 8.00pm in Crown at Cerney Wick Everyone is welcome including partners. A table has been reserved for an off the menu meal (not a set menu).There is no cost except for the meal. Please let Branwen know if you are interested.

New Stratton WI Newsletter


Thursday 18th February - Rob Rees MBE - The Cotswold Chef has a passion for indulging everyone in the revolution in British food and farming. The culinary path to the success of the Cotswold Chef has been based on sound training at Westminster College, Le Gavroche and the Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath. Rob's own former restaurant, The Country Elephant, won AA, Good Food Guide and Michelin status - WI
members free, non members - £5.00 this includes refreshments.



Thursday 18th March – Jim Billings - Landscape gardener with many years experience will be giving a talk on the wonders of the English garden an showing how the different plants complement each other. There will be an opportunity to buy the plants at the end of the talk.
